Job Overview:

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Checker/Picker to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth handling, inspection, and storage of automotive parts from local and international suppliers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of receiving, checking, and picking parts, guaranteeing that all dealership orders are processed within specified cut-off times. If you are an individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and has a passion for the automotive industry, this opportunity will provide a platform for you to grow and contribute to the future of mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection: You will oversee the receipt of parts from both local and international suppliers, ensuring that each part is thoroughly inspected for damage, correctly labeled, and appropriately routed for storage. Accuracy in labeling and documentation is crucial to ensure traceability and smooth operations.

Timely Processing: The role requires the efficient processing of airfreight, backorders, and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) orders, with a strict completion target of within 4 hours of receipt. This ensures that parts are quickly available for dispatch and that dealership needs are met promptly.

Storage and Planning: You will play an important part in the planning and organization of storage spaces, especially when new models are introduced. This will involve taking measurements of new parts and planning optimal storage solutions to maximize warehouse efficiency.

FIFO Principle Compliance: Ensuring all parts comply with the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principle is a priority. You will be responsible for ensuring that parts are binned correctly from the receiving area and that storage is managed in accordance with FIFO for better stock rotation and inventory accuracy.

Order Picking and Dispatch: Dealer orders are to be picked and prepared for dispatch according to set schedules, ensuring that trucks are loaded in time for on-time delivery. This includes handling urgent orders (Rush/Stock) in a timely and accurate manner.

Warehouse Equipment Operation: The role involves operating specialized warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and other machinery. Candidates must be competent in handling this equipment to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Stock Accuracy and Claims: Regular physical checks and stock counts will be required to maintain a bin accuracy rate of at least 98.5%. Additionally, the candidate will manage the claims adjudication process, handling dealer returns efficiently to minimize delays and disruptions in supply.

Shift Patterns: You will work in rotating shifts, with patterns such as 07:30 – 16:00 and 12:00 – 20:00, ensuring coverage throughout the day to meet operational demands.

Team Collaboration and Maintenance: Active participation in daily start-up meetings and adherence to the 5S principles of workplace organization is expected. Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and efficient will be part of your daily routine.
