The City of Tshwane is offering an exciting opportunity for 30 individuals to join its Electrical Apprenticeship Programme. This full-time apprenticeship is designed to provide aspiring artisans with the technical skills and hands-on experience required to excel in the electrical industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Participation in the City of Tshwane’s full-time apprenticeship programme for electrical trades.
  • Attendance at theoretical and practical training sessions to develop technical skills in electrical systems and installations.
  • Learning to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures.
  • Performing tasks such as testing electrical systems, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Collaboration with mentors and peers to enhance learning and skill development.
  • Completion of all required assessments and tasks as part of the apprenticeship programme.

Application Requirements

To be considered for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Technical Matric, NCV Level 4, or N2 Certificate with Mathematics, Science, and relevant trade theory.
  • A genuine interest in becoming an artisan in the electrical industry.
  • Strong dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working with tools.
