The City of Tshwane is offering an exciting opportunity for 15 individuals to join its Plumbing Apprenticeship Programme. Key Responsibilities
- Participation in the City of Tshwane’s full-time apprenticeship programme for plumbing.
- Attendance at theoretical and practical training sessions to develop technical skills in plumbing systems and installations.
- Learning to read and interpret plumbing blueprints and technical drawings.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.
- Performing tasks such as pipe cutting, threading, welding, and sealing.
- Adherence to safety protocols and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Collaboration with mentors and peers to enhance learning and skill development.
- Completion of all required assessments and tasks as part of the apprenticeship programme.
Application Requirements
To be considered for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Technical Matric, NCV Level 4, or N2 Certificate with Mathematics, Science, and relevant trade theory.
- A genuine interest in becoming an artisan in the plumbing industry.
- Strong dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working with tools.
