The City of Ekurhuleni is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to join a six-month non-renewable contract as a Delivery Partner Driver. This role is part of the city’s Last Mile Delivery Trainee Programme, designed to equip participants with practical skills and experience.

Job Details

  • Position: Delivery Partner Driver
  • Remuneration: R0 – R4,356 per month
  • Contract Type: Temporary (Non-Renewable, 6 months)
  • Location: City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen residing in the Ekurhuleni municipality.
  • Possess a minimum of Grade 8 qualification.
  • Be unemployed and not currently participating in the City of Ekurhuleni’s Job Creation Programme.
  • Be willing to attend and fully participate in the Last Mile Delivery Trainee Programme.

Core Responsibilities

As a Delivery Partner Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Actively participating in all theoretical and practical training sessions.
  2. Undertaking assigned tasks conscientiously to gain valuable workplace experience.
  3. Adhering to the policies and procedures of the primary employer and host organizations.
  4. Completing timesheets, written assignments, and practical assessments to document learning outcomes.
  5. Performing tasks assigned by the employer or host organization as part of the training process.
  6. Supporting the implementation of the Last Mile Delivery Programme through effective execution of duties.
