Job Opening Summary:
Haval Kempton Park has an exciting opportunity for the role of “Apprentice Motor Mechanic Training Level 1,” with a closing date of 2025/04/30 and reference number. This permanent position, based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa, entails a unique Accredited Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) Apprenticeship.
Position Details:
The job involves a blend of on-the-job training and classroom instruction, with theoretical education provided by the Imperial Technical Training Academy (ITTA). The apprentice will work under the supervision of a Qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic in Haval’s Service Department.
Responsibilities:
-CBMT contract with merSETA and a learnership contract with Lindsay Saker Kempton Park.
-MIBCO minimum wages apply for CBMT Apprentice.
-A 4-year training program comprising levels 1-4, including practical and theoretical components.
-Distance learning through CDX, computer-based testing, and practical competency testing.
-On-the-job experience in the Haval Service department aligned with CBMT program competence levels.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
-Matric (N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English at 50%).
-Driver’s license.
-Computer literacy.
-Successful completion of a mechanical insight test.
-Standard background checks and a fitness-for-work medical assessment.
-Psychometric assessment and a face-to-face interview for successful candidates.
