Role Description: Showroom Sales Associate

Purpose of the Role:

The Showroom Sales Associate is responsible for converting showroom visitors into successful sales through product demonstrations that align with sales targets. This role also involves managing the customer journey, ensuring the correct product pricing, and providing efficient customer service. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

Greeting customers upon entry and ascertaining their immediate needs.

Ensuring that products are visually displayed in accordance with the catalog.

Encouraging and incentivizing NTF customers to open an account.

Assisting customers with installment payments, query resolution, order processing, and product returns.

Meeting customer service and support service level agreements.

Maintaining a professional, polite, and efficient service.

Assisting customers at self-help kiosks.

Handling daily administration tasks related to customer service, vetting, order processing, and query resolution.

Ensuring business objectives are met while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Staying informed about product features, benefits, and pricing.

Identifying competitor products and up-selling when appropriate.

Ensuring pricing and offers align with the catalog.

Adhering to visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.

Meeting operational efficiency targets.

Adhering to service level agreements and quality benchmarks.

Providing exceptional customer service, handling objections, and improving the customer experience.

Adhering to quality standards, policies, and procedures.

Ensuring stock management, including stock orders, stockroom maintenance, and stock check.

Handling goods returns and administration.

Managing stockroom housekeeping standards.

Adhering to security procedures during opening and closing.

Maintaining accurate administration and reporting.

Upholding HomeChoice’s professional appearance standards.

Requirements:

Minimum Grade 12/Matric qualification.

At least one year of retail experience.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Experience in the homewares retail industry is advantageous.
