Role Overview:


The main objective of this role is to ensure the seamless processing of regional payroll data, guaranteeing that all employees receive timely payments. This involves handling payroll inputs and resolving payroll queries according to established policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and corporate governance standards. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, ready to support colleagues during periods of high workload.

Responsibilities:

Meet all payroll processing deadlines and ensure timely output.

Ensure payroll accuracy and handle payroll operations under pressure.

Work closely with regional teams to track, distribute, and verify payroll inputs.

Maintain thorough knowledge of company procedures, policies, and employment conditions.

Receive and validate payroll inputs from the business to ensure correctness.

Provide backup support for payroll controller changes.

Distribute pay slips across all regions and resolve payroll queries within the service level agreement.

Validate variance reports to ensure payroll data accuracy.

Pay meticulous attention to detail when handling payroll inputs.

Maintain confidentiality and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Submit daily trackers promptly to the payroll controller.

Process all types of payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, and promotions.

Ensure accurate processing of the Christmas bonus in December.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal aspects such as PAYE.
  • Effective communication and liaison skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality and performing under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to handle ad hoc queries from HR/Benefits.

Qualifications:

  • A Grade 12 certificate with 1-3 years of payroll experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP/HR systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll policies and procedures.
