Concerning the Learnership Initiative

Young, driven individuals from the targeted categories have a special opportunity to work in a business setting, receive real-world experience, and earn a national qualification through Sanlam business. As a component of our young talent strategy, our learnership feeds right into our YEP (Youth Empowerment Programme), which in turn builds a talent pipeline within our company. Successful and high-performing learners are permanently retained for junior level employment after the learnership ends through a targeted development path.

YEP Learnership provides:

-One year of employment;

– Monthly stipend and study funding;

– National qualification (Certificate in Wealth Management, NQF level 4);

– On-the-job training and evaluation;

– Ongoing coaching and mentoring;

– Portfolio of work and learning evidence

Responsibilities

– Gaining familiarity with the company’s offerings, services, operational procedures, and systems;

– Participating in in-class instruction;

– Completing hands-on training on-site;

– Compiling a Portfolio of Evidence for submission to InSeta;

– Completing logbooks for workplace-based learning;

– Passing and finishing the necessary level in formative and summative assessments;

-and Performing tasks and duties as assigned by your manager

Minimum Conditions

– Must be a citizen of South Africa;

– Cannot be employed at this time;

– Must be between the ages of 18 and 35;

– Must have received a 50% grade in mathematics, mathematics literacy, accounting, and English in Grade 12.

– The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English well.

– They also need to be willing to dedicate themselves to finishing the 12-month program, which culminates in a full qualification.

– Have a spotless criminal and credit history.

– Have a dependable means of transportation.
