  • Salary Range: R155,148 – R182,757 per annum (Salary Level 03)

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Grade 10 certificate or equivalent.
  • School leaving certificate accompanied by a recommendation letter from the principal (where applicable).

Licenses and Permits:

Valid Code 8/10/14 Driver’s License.

Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Skills and Experience:

  • 7–12 months of relevant driving or handyman experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with general vehicle maintenance and basic office or handyman duties.
  • Proof of participation in the Public Employment Youth Initiative (PEYI) is advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties

Transport passengers, learners, goods, and materials while complying with road safety regulations.

Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain roadworthiness, and ensure cleanliness.

Plan efficient travel routes to minimize time and fuel use.

Maintain accurate logbooks and submit petrol slips monthly.

Assist passengers, particularly those with special needs, during trips.

Handyman Duties

Perform general maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and renovations.

Inspect equipment and fixtures to ensure functionality.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure safety measures are adhered to.
