Job Description
South African Breweries (SAB), a proud member of the AB InBev family, is offering three exciting apprenticeship opportunities in the Electrical field at the Ibhayi Brewery. These positions are aimed at individuals with a strong interest in engineering and a passion for developing technical skills in the brewing and manufacturing industry.
The purpose of the programme is to provide apprentices with structured, work-based learning that combines theory with practical workplace exposure. Over the course of 3–4 years, successful candidates will acquire the technical competence, safety awareness, and industry knowledge required to qualify as artisans in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities
Complete the structured apprenticeship programme in line with SAB and SETA requirements.
Participate in formal and on-the-job training to develop technical competence in the electrical trade.
Strictly adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards while maintaining a safe and clean workplace.
Assist with planning, preparing, and budgeting for maintenance-related tasks.
Gain exposure to plant operations, documentation systems, and equipment management.
Support in evaluating, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery during breakdowns.
Contribute to continuous improvement by optimising plant processes and technical systems.
Acquire and demonstrate machine-specific technical knowledge and skills.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
National Technical Certificate (N4) in Electrical.
Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (N5/N6) will be advantageous.
Strong aptitude for engineering and technical problem-solving.
Physically fit with good vision (must not be colour blind).
Willingness to attend periods of formal training in Johannesburg when required.
