About the Opportunity

Motus Toyota Kempton Park is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as an Apprentice Level 1. The successful candidate will report directly to the Service Manager and will undergo a comprehensive Apprentice Training Programme, which may last up to four years. Key Responsibilities

The Apprentice Level 1 will play a supportive role in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, working closely with experienced Technicians. Specific responsibilities include:

• Assisting with vehicle repairs under the guidance of a qualified Technician.
• Removing and replacing vehicle parts or units as required.
• Safely jacking up vehicles and positioning trestles.
• Lubricating and changing oils under supervision, adhering to manual specifications.
• Removing and replacing wheels, air filters, and oil filters.
• Assisting with general vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Removing and fitting batteries as needed.
• Cleaning parts and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Attending technical training courses as prescribed by the apprenticeship program.
• Performing additional reasonable duties as assigned from time to time.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept clean and in good working condition.
• Maintaining a clean work area and ensuring overalls are kept clean.
• Adhering to all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Grade 12 certificate with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.
• A Motor Mechanic Trade qualification will be highly advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
• A clear criminal record is required.
