Position Overview

The City of Tshwane is seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to fill the position of General Worker at the Zeekoegat Waste Water Treatment Works. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the treatment facility while supporting essential tasks as directed.


Job Level and Compensation

  • Job Level: T1
  • Monthly Salary: R12,504 – R14,614 (Estimated total package: R18,577 – R21,262 per month)
    Note: The total package includes additional benefits and allowances provided by the City of Tshwane.

Purpose of the Job

The primary goal of this role is to execute general labor duties at the waste water treatment works, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and operational support.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Basic Literacy: Must be able to read and understand instructions.
  2. Physical Fitness: The role requires performing physically demanding tasks.
  3. Experience Advantage: Previous experience with general labor duties at a waste water treatment facility is advantageous but not mandatory.
  4. Competency in Duties: Ability to carry out assigned tasks efficiently.

  4. Task Execution: Perform ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety protocols in the workplace.
