Job Description

First National Bank is inviting motivated and disciplined young people to apply for the Community Advisor role within its Alternative Channels. Successful candidates will be placed at selected Pick n Pay stores and will work on a shift basis.

The role focuses on customer engagement, sales, and service delivery, while representing the FNB brand in local communities. Community Advisors act as brand ambassadors and support customers by providing banking solutions aligned with their needs.


Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizenship
  • Matric or Matric Equivalent (NQF Level 4) or higher qualification
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts
  • Ability to engage with customers in a professional manner

Additional Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in client services support and service delivery will be an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Ethical conduct and accountability

Core Functions

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through effective service
  • Educate customers on appropriate banking platforms and products
  • Analyse customer needs and recommend tailored financial solutions
  • Achieve sales targets through contextual and integrated offerings
  • Ensure compliance with banking rules, policies, and procedures
  • Represent the FNB brand by consistently living the promise of “How can we help you?”
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and industry trends
