Driver EC Position – Murray & Roberts Cementation

Location: Bentley Park, Carltonville, Gauteng
Department: Raise Drilling
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor

Introduction:

Murray & Roberts Cementation is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Driver EC at Bentley Park, near Carltonville, Gauteng. The selected candidate will report directly to the Shift Supervisor for Raise Drilling. This position comes with a competitive remuneration package and benefits, tailored to the role. Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of driving and support tasks, including:

• Providing transportation and loading assistance, primarily for the movement of materials and equipment within designated areas.
• Accurately completing logbooks and checklists.
• Managing the delivery and collection of goods and documents.
• Ensuring proper load distribution on the vehicle.
• Reporting any vehicle abuse or defects promptly.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and standard upkeep of the vehicle.
• Adhering to safety regulations and company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensuring the safety of all employees within the area of responsibility.
• Occasionally working outside of standard working hours.
• Managing tasks effectively in line with Murray & Roberts Cementation’s values.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid EC Driver’s License (Essential).
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (Essential).
• Hi Ab (Crane) License (Preferred).
• Advanced Driving License (Preferred).
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a licensed EC driver.
• At least 2 years of experience operating or driving mobile equipment.
• Understanding of proper load distribution on vehicles.
• Knowledge of handling and transporting dangerous goods.
