1. Leaner Fule tanker driver (Code 14)

Geographical Area: Sasol Coal Supply, Central Workshop, Directional Drilling & Twistdraai Export Plant
Purpose of the Job:
The Leaner tank driver will support the Maintenance and Directional Drilling Teams by providing effective equipment maintenance assistance, welding, fitting, or electrical support, and ensuring reliability while adhering to procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding of mining equipment using flux core and other welding processes.
- Safely operate welding equipment and oxy-fuel gas cutting equipment.
- Assist with overhead crane and lifting equipment operations.
- Conduct visual inspections of the work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Apply job-specific SOPs and COPs to maintain housekeeping standards.
- Participate in daily morning meetings, hazard identification, and task risk assessments.
- Report all task activities and support team goals to meet deadlines.
- Assist artisans with day-to-day tasks and identify cost-saving initiatives.
- Operate and maintain underground machinery (e.g., Shuttle Car, Roof Bolter, Crushers).
Qualifications:
- Essential: Grade 12/N3/NCV Level 4 or equivalent (Maths & Science advantageous).
- Advantageous: Driver’s licence (minimum code 10), First Aid Certificate, and Medical Certificate of Fitness.
Experience:
- 0 months of welding experience.
- Ability to safely use an angle grinder, cutting torch, and MIG welding equipment.
- Knowledge of underground machinery and plant operations (advantageous).
2. Learner: Administration

Purpose of the Job:
To participate in and successfully complete the Learnership programme in the designated field of expertise, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical work experience.
Programme Overview:
The 12-month Learnership programme combines theoretical learning aligned with an NQF qualification and practical on-site work experience. It is designed to enhance the skills and workplace performance of entry-level learners, providing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, computer proficiency, and basic business principles.

4. Learner Artisan: Chemical Plant Operator

Purpose of the Job:
As a learner, you will train and develop to become a qualified Chemical Plant Operator according to the requirements of the relevant SETA (QCTO) and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate competence in pre-identified areas related to chemical plant operations, equipment, and systems.
- Understand and use plant operating procedures, documentation, and process control systems.
- Apply safety management systems (e.g., IMS, MBO) and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct hazard identification and task risk assessments in chemical plant environments.
- Participate in root cause analyses, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to enhance plant safety and efficiency.
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to chemical waste disposal regulations.
- Provide feedback on operational progress and ensure accurate reporting for process improvements.
- Participate in performance appraisals and identify personal training needs for professional growth.
- Lead by example and contribute to team efforts and overall operational strategy.
Qualifications:
- Essential: High School Matric/N3 or equivalent qualification.
