About the Company:
Motus BMW Rosslyn is actively seeking a proactive individual for the position of Apprentice Level 1. Under the guidance of the Service Manager, this role is designed for someone passionate about vehicle repairs, aiming to become a skilled Motor Mechanic Technician. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive four-year Apprentice Training Programme.
Responsibilities:
– Assisting Technicians in vehicle repairs to gain practical experience.
– Performing the removal and replacement of vehicle parts/units.
– Jacking up vehicles and setting up trestles.
– Executing lubrication and oil changes (under supervision) as per manual specifications.
– Replacing wheels and air/oil filters.
– Contributing to various vehicle repair tasks.
– Handling battery removal and replacement.
– Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and ensuring clean vehicle parts.
– Attending scheduled technical/level training courses to enhance skills.
– Thoroughly preparing for level tests to qualify within the maximum of 4 years.
– Assisting with housekeeping, ensuring tools and equipment are in good order.
– Adhering to workplace safety rules and protocols.
– Performing any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Possessing a Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science.
– Preference given to candidates with a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification.
– Holding a valid Driver’s License is advantageous.
– Must have a clear Criminal Record.
Skills and Attributes:
- Technical skills will be advantageous.
- Demonstrating strong customer orientation and effective teamwork.
