Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Valid forklift license
• Ability to handle goods and operate a forklift efficiently

Core Functions:

As a Warehouse Forklift Operator at South African Breweries, your key purpose is to load, unload, and stack materials safely and efficiently while upholding our governance and customer service standards. You will also need to embody and understand the values of AB-InBev.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Effective Fleet Management:

• Conduct pre-trip inspections using the forklift inspection checklist before each shift.
• Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of the forklift.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels as per operating standards.

2. Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:

• Comply with stacking exemptions from the Department of Labour and maintain site housekeeping standards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment according to site safety protocols.

3. Effective Stock Quality Management:

• Maintain warehouse stock age standards through proper stock rotation.
• Conduct quality control checks on packaging before loading and on the warehouse floor.

4. Efficient Inventory Management:

• Participate in handover processes before and after each shift.
• Perform accurate daily stock counts using handheld devices.
• Generate variance reports in SAP and resolve discrepancies.

5. Efficient Loading and Unloading of Vehicles:

• Communicate effectively with the Logistics Coordinator and team members.
• Complete all documentation accurately and comprehensively.
• Ensure production continuity by loading empties and raw materials onto production lines.
