Purpose:


The Picker Packer is responsible for picking, packing, and delivering parts daily to relevant areas, adhering to agreed standard operating procedures. The role also involves maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work area, and managing orders within the warehouse or distribution center.

Position Overview:


The Picker Packer’s primary duties include picking, packing, and delivering parts daily to relevant areas, in compliance with standard operating procedures. The individual is also tasked with maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work area, and managing orders within the warehouse or distribution center.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Process and Governance:

Planning and organizing tasks to ensure performance targets are met and SOPs are adhered to.

Providing daily feedback on task delivery to inform decision-making processes.

Resolving routine problems and reporting unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution.

Checking stock levels based on system-generated cycle counts and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.

Re-binning stock based on system-generated movement information to optimize warehouse layout.

Scanning stock and binning parts into allocated areas within the warehouse.

Finance:

  • Executing work activities effectively and efficiently to maximize financial performance and profitability.

Client/Customer:

Delivering services that exceed customers’ expectations in all aspects of the business.

Performing work activities according to set standards to satisfy internal and external customers.

People:

Completing daily tasks and attending training to improve the quality and standard of work.

Owning and living up to company values.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification:

  • Grade 12 with maths and science

Minimum Experience:

  • 0-1 year experience in a similar environment

Skills and Personal Attributes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of industry legislative compliance
