Job Description:

Purpose

Assist the artisan by safely replacing, installing, repairing, and maintaining various medium to more complex plant equipment and machinery according to maintenance standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Assist Artisans in maintaining equipment and related machinery to ensure optimal utilization and availability. This will contribute to maximizing production and throughput schedules.

General Maintenance Tasks: Perform general maintenance duties, including changing grease bulkers, diesel nozzles, pipes, and other related tasks as required.

Support & Assistance: Provide support to the supervisor and co-workers according to their level of competence. Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly when acting in the absence of a responsible person.

Work Area Cleanliness: Ensure that equipment and work areas are thoroughly cleaned after each maintenance job.

Safety Compliance: Clean and ensure the visibility, legibility, and functionality of all safety signs and equipment.

Tool Management: Clean unused tools and store them in designated places to maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Grade 12 / N3 Technical qualification.

Licensing:

Valid South African Driver’s Licence.

Skills:

Technical knowledge.

Strong communication skills.

Time management and organizational skills.

Fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in handling tools.

Proficiency in English.
