These learnerships are designed to provide hands-on training and theoretical knowledge to aspiring artisans, enabling them to qualify in their chosen trades.


Learnership Opportunities


The Amandelbult Complex is inviting applications for Engineering Exposure Training in the following trades:

  • Learnership Fitters (x8)
  • Learnership Riggers (x4)
  • Learnership Electricians (x4)
  • Learnership Diesel Mechanics (x2)
  • Learnership Boilermakers (x6)

Successful candidates will be enrolled in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Learnership program, which will equip them with the necessary skills and qualifications to become certified artisans.


Minimum Entry Requirements


To be considered for these learnerships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Matric Certificate:

  • Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy) with a minimum 40% pass.
  • Physical Science with a minimum 40% pass.
  • English with a minimum 40% pass.

N2 or Higher Qualification:

  • Relevant subjects as per the specific trade requirements.

NCV Level 4:

  • Appropriate trade with all subjects passed at a minimum of 40%.

Trade Test Requirements:

  • A minimum of N2 subjects/certificate with applicable subjects for the relevant trade, including:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Relevant Trade Theory
  • Industrial Electronics, Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings

  • A comprehensive CV.
  • A certified copy of their ID.
  • Certified copies of all relevant qualifications.
  • Proof of residence (for applicants from host communities) with a stamp from the relevant tribal office or municipality.
