Job Description:

Motus Retail is offering exciting opportunities for aspiring automotive enthusiasts to join our national dealer network as Automotive Apprentices. This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals passionate about passenger or commercial vehicles and who aspire to become qualified Petrol or Diesel Motor Mechanics. Successful candidates will participate in the full spectrum of the apprenticeship program, assisting in vehicle repairs under the guidance of a qualified Technician, fulfilling MerSETA trade requirements, and aiming to qualify within a maximum of three years.

Position Overview:

As an Automotive Apprentice, you will be required to engage in various aspects of the apprenticeship program, which includes:

• Attending scheduled technical and level training courses.
• Assisting with vehicle repairs to gain practical experience.
• Preparing thoroughly for level tests to ensure qualification within three years.
• Maintaining workplace safety, and adhering to conduct rules and protocols.
• Keeping tools and equipment clean and in good working order.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Education: Grade 10 with Pure Maths or Technical Maths and Science.

Additional Qualifications:

N2 or higher (including Motor Theory).

NCV Level 4 with Pure Maths.

For Diesel Apprenticeship: N2 with Diesel Theory qualification.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Proficient in operating manufacturer diagnostic equipment/computer to access information.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Accurate and meticulous in work.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Energetic and action-oriented.
