Job Description:
The successful Candidates will be afforded an opportunity to enroll in an external 8- month Process Cadet program.Our Process Cadet Program is an enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills with on-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Complex. This Program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
- Perform all tasks safely and in line with SHE standards.
- Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to the SHE department.
2. Security:
- Adhere to all security protocols, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of company intellectual property.
- Report security anomalies to the Senior Production Controller or Audit.
3. Production:
- Ensure all production tasks meet the agreed-upon quality standards using the Right-First-Time approach.
- Operate sorting technology safely and efficiently.
- Capture and record data accurately.
- Complete all core tasks by applying available systems and automated diamond capture functions.
- Follow all relevant procedures to meet production deadlines.
4. Team Effectiveness:
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
- Assist and collaborate with team members as required.
- Participate constructively in meetings and support department objectives.
5. Performance Management:
- Identify development needs in consultation with the Senior Training Instructor.
- Utilize available resources to enhance technical skills.
- Seek support in areas requiring further development.
Qualifications:
- Matric with a minimum 50% pass in Mathematics, along with English and one other official language.
- Previous experience in diamond valuation or grading is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:.
- Good eyesight (not color blind).
- Strong hand-eye coordination and 3-dimensional visualization skills.
- Manual dexterity to perform tasks effectively.
Skills and Competencies:
- Effective listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions with precision.
- Unquestionable honesty, integrity, and the ability to work in a controlled security environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Reliable, accurate, and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
