We are currently inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position of Learner Operator Raise Drilling at the Modikwa Mine. Join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of one of the leading mining companies in Limpopo.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Learner Operator Raise Drilling, you will be responsible for:

-Effectively supervising a team of general workers

-Performing the duties of a drilling operator and achieving competency at this entry-level role

-Successfully completing on-the-job practical work and theory at the M&RC Training Academy

-Safely operating raise drilling machines under supervision

-Following lockout procedures

-Completing administrative tasks accurately and timely

-Understanding and complying with M&RC’s standards, policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Minimum Requirements:
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

-Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent

-Raise Drilling Operator training program [Theory essential]

-Competency B

-Good English written and verbal communication skills

Work Experience:

-At least 2 years’ experience as a Raise Drilling General Worker (Advantageous)

-Sound knowledge of raise drilling operations and methods

-Understanding of a baseline risk assessment with the ability to complete an issue-based risk assessment independently [essential]
