LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME: ROAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management invites applications for the Road Traffic Management Learnership Programme. This initiative is aimed at empowering unemployed youth aged between 18 and 35 years within the North West Province. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3000 for the duration of the three-year programme.
Learnership Programme Requirements
To be eligible for the Road Traffic Management Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Possess a Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate Level 4 (statements of results will not be accepted).
- Be in possession of a valid RSA Identity Document.
- Submit a Police Criminal Clearance Report (no older than three weeks) from the South African Police Service.
- Provide a medical report confirming fitness for strenuous exercise and training (issued by a registered health professional with an official stamp).
- Hold a valid driver’s license (Code 8, 10, or 14). Learner’s licenses will not be accepted.
- Have no tattoos.
- Submit proof of residence from the Municipality or Traditional Council (no statements of account will be accepted).
Important Notes:
- Applicants who have previously participated in a Learnership programme in the Public Service will not be considered.
- Applicants must be under the age of 36 upon enrolment.
Application Process and Compliance
Applicants must submit their applications using the improved Z83 form, effective from January 1, 2021. This form must be completed in full, signed, and dated. Incorrect or incomplete forms will result in disqualification.
- The Z83 form should be accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including the names and contact details of three referees.
- Qualifications will be verified, and failure to submit all required documents will lead to the application being disregarded.
- The correct reference number and position must be clearly indicated in the application.
