GLC Warehouse in Johannesburg is seeking qualified candidates for the position of X2 Picker Packer Grade D. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested individuals. However, permanent team members will be given priority consideration.The employment decision will be based on the company’s Employment Equity Plan, with the intention to promote equity in terms of race, gender, and disability representation.
Duties:
Maintain housekeeping standards in your work area while performing duties.
Follow the picking GLC743218 & Binning GLC743219 work procedures.
Assist fellow team members as needed.
Be available for overtime work when required.
Achieve a picking rate of 19 lines per hour.
Ensure timely delivery of picked parts to the correct chutes.
Secure all picked parts properly to prevent falls.
Return and store work equipment in designated areas when not in use.
Understand Section 14 of the OHS Act as discussed during induction.
Adhere to the company’s work safety procedures.
Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
Requirements:
Matric and Abet Level 4 qualifications.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent communication skills.
General knowledge of spares identification, verification, and understanding.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
Crane and forklift license (an advantage).
