Job Description:

The Customer Service Agent will play a critical role in ensuring that passengers receive top-notch service. This role involves direct interaction with customers, helping them with ticket-related queries, resolving issues arising from flight delays or cancellations, and maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism. The agent is expected to manage complaints efficiently, escalating unresolved matters to the supervisor when necessary. Additionally, the agent must be adept at handling stressful situations and managing time effectively to meet the dynamic demands of the airport environment. Providing a positive experience for passengers is paramount, requiring excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

Assist passengers with ticket sales, bookings, and flight changes, providing explanations of rules, terms, conditions, regulations, and procedures as needed.

Support customers during flight disruptions or cancellations, offering assistance and guidance.

Handle and protect confidential information with utmost care.

Address customer complaints professionally and promptly.

Escalate complex issues to the on-duty Supervisor.

Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.

Requirements:

Grade 12 qualification.

Previous experience in airport operations and ticket sales within the aviation sector.

Availability to work weekends, public holidays, flexible hours, and shifts as required.

Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong customer service skills with a solid understanding of customer needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette.

Effective conflict resolution abilities.

Personal Attributes:

Punctual and reliable.

Patient and assertive, with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Trustworthy and capable of handling confidential information responsibly.

Excellent time management skills.

Strong customer focus and service orientation.
