Minimum Requirements:

To be eligible for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Completed National Senior Certificate (or equivalent), with passes in:
• Technical Mathematics or Mathematics
• English or Business English
• Technical/Physical Science (preferred)
• Driver’s License: A valid Code B driver’s license.
• Assessment Criteria: Must pass a series of stress and fear evaluations, including:
• Height tolerance
• Confined space adaptation
• Fire exposure resilience
• Physical Fitness: Successful completion of a fitness assessment, specifically for fire fighters.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Sasol Fire Fighter Learner, your main responsibilities will include:

• Program Participation: Engaging fully in the learnership program, including attending all required training sessions, workshops, and practical exercises.
• Skills Development: Actively participating in work-based tasks to build essential firefighting competencies, such as emergency response tactics, fire prevention strategies, and safety protocol adherence.
• Readiness Activities: Taking part in designated workplace readiness activities that will prepare you for real-world scenarios in fire response and emergency management.
