Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
• Functional computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Record-keeping skills.
• Patience and compassion.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong planning and coaching skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

• Assist teachers with teaching and learning activities.
• Help learners during assessments.
• Prepare classroom materials, teaching aids, ICT equipment and assistive devices.
• Support daily classroom activities.
• Supervise learners during lessons, break times and play periods.
• Help organise and manage the classroom.
• Assist with classroom administrative duties.
• Provide additional support to learners with disabilities and special educational needs.
• Accompany learners with physical disabilities to the bathroom when required.
• Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
